Is Donald Trump Aligning Himself with Jewish Voters?

The Trump Administration has made it abundantly clear they are siding and will continue to side with Israel and Netanyahu's regime if he is elected president. While Harris has agreed on a ceasefire, she has been teetering between Jewish voters and Arab voters who want her to have a clear stance. Trump has stated if Harris is elected, Israel will cease to exist within two or three years, making a statement of fear for many Zionist Jews who see Israel as a home.

Trump attended the Israeli-American Council summit in Washington, D.C last week and focused his time on commemorating the October 7th attacks, sparking the latest conflict between Hamas and Israel. According to an NPR article, Trump says he is their big protector, and that there is not on on the [Democratic] side.

Trump later accused Harris of pandering to Hamas supporters and said in the same NPR article that "Jewish people have no excuse" for supporting his Democratic rival. Harris's pandering to Hamas would include calling for an immediate ceasefire as over 40,000 innocent Palestinians have died. Harris has repeatedly said she supports Israel's right to defend itself and has called the suffering in Gaza to be devastating.

Above is a video from the same council where Trump preemptively blames Jewish Americans who plan on voting Democrat, which seemingly increases the alienation of Jews in America. Trump reiterates his plans on saving Israel and fighting for them, but it is interesting to hear him say Jewish voters will be at fault and Israel will be eradicated if he is not voted for and victorious in November. This rhetoric can be manipulative and misleading, and him going on to suggest the Jewish percentage of voters should be higher than 43% by saying he is the only one protecting them is alarming and pointing fingers at a small sect of voters.

While Trump does pander towards Jewish voters with claims of saving Israel and being the best opportunity for them, he is also alienating those who do not support him, and tries to put blame on them if he loses the election.
